Our professional field service
group is staffed with twelve of our assembly personnel who are Heidelberg Harris
or MAN Roland factory-experienced personnel. By drawing this team from our
assembly group, we provide our clients with technicians who understand pressroom
requirements and can readily solve problems in the field.
Our group of technicians is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support
equipment startups, field repairs, cylinder swap-outs, retrofits,
trouble-shooting, equipment audits, and to respond to emergency breakdowns. We
can be on site in your facility within 24 hours or less in an emergency
situation.
Examples of some of our more recent field service:
Cylinder Swap-outs

On-site cylinder removal and re-installation of plate and blanket cylinders on
C700, NC400, N954, and M850. Depending on the number of cylinders to be swapped,
we can complete a typical swap-out in two to seven days.
Retrofits
ERSA has various retrofit/enhancements available that can be field installed on
your equipment. The packages include plate cocking and form following,
replacement kits for infeed gearboxes, ERSA quick plate lockups, and gearboxes
with circumferential motors. Many of the features are designed for
Heidelberg/Harris,
Hantscho, Baker-Perkins, and Stevens press lines.

Trouble-shooting
When a problem exists, our field service team is available to inspect the
equipment and make recommendations for resolution. A recent customer had a
slurring problem. Our team resolved the problem to the customer’s satisfaction
by replacing the bevel gear sets, replacing the lines shafts, repairing damaged
gears, and replacing the clutch on the line shaft. Our team of experts can
assist you with solving your folding problems as well as in the printing areas.
Audits
We recommend to our clients to have an equipment audit performed to determine
the condition of the equipment prior to purchasing any used equipment. Our team
is available to audit entire press lines, folders, or any type of printing
equipment being considered for purchase. A detailed, written report is provided
with each audit. View Sample Audit. Click here!
Equipment Removal, Installation and Startup
The field service team is available to assist our clients with press removal and
re-installation of the equipment in another facility. If the equipment does not
require our complete remanufacturing program, our trained technicians can make
minor repairs, i.e., replace bearings, electrical components, etc., during the
re-installation phase.
